The African people have one of the most interesting histories in the world. In this article, we will revisit the African American history and how the people have advanced over the years. You will notice that there are many Africans spread over the amercing continent. Black people who are in the US fall into the category of descendants of former African slaves.
However, there are those that settle in US because of marriages and immigration and have become an important part of the society. Many black Americans trace their origin to West Africa. It is because of this transatlantic trade. The Trans-Atlantic trade connected three continents that include the America, Europe, and Africa.
The Europeans who lived in America were there for cheap labor that they could find in Africa. The trade made African societies sells the delinquent members of their society. The group comprised of people who were guilty of committing serious crimes that were unacceptable in the society.
In some places, there were societies that took part in the war for the purpose of capturing additional slaves whom they will use to obtain products from the European people. The trade made Africa exposed to other countries and hence the scramble and partition for Africa took place.
