City life has opened up a lot of opportunities to have fun and socialize with people. But as they say every pros have their own corresponding set of cons. Same goes of the life in the city. While convenience is served, there are also daily issues that are giving us discomfort.

With industrialization at its peak, we are seeing increased number of huge buildings and more vehicles around. This then pave the way to matters like NY traffic which for some, especially those who are always in a hurry every morning, is a real headache. But just because you are stuck on that heavy bumper to bumper issue does not mean that your day is already ruined.

You can all get disappointed for all you want and the fact would not change that traffic will still be there. So rather than spend your precious time getting pissed, why not do something that can help you alleviate the stress. Take a look at the following, simple, yet effective means on how to block of stress while being stuck on the road.

Tune in your favorite playlist and sing with it. One of the most common, but still effective, means of getting comfortable and less annoyed in your seat is by listening music. You must have a stash of your favorite selection. Play them on your car and allow yourself to be carried away by the lyrics of the song. Rather then focusing on how hassle the traffic is, singing along with your favorite music can be real fun.

Enjoy a good read. It does not have to be those kinds of heavy reading materials where you have to think hard in order to understand some concepts. Light materials like magazines will do. Needless to say, make sure that the topic interests you enough to get your attention while waiting.

Quick breakfast. Traffic has this unique way of making you hungry especially if you skipped breakfast in hopes of getting to your destination early so you can enjoy a good meal. Before you get pissed by a hungry stomach, might as well grab some food that you can just munch while in your car. Sometimes, those negative feel that you have is a product of hunger. Do not let yourself starve.

Savor the awesome treat of coffee. Of course, your meal will not be complete with the absence of a great drink. On a morning rush, coffee is one of the top picks. Buy a good one from shops along the way. You can then have a drink while waiting for the cars to starts moving again.

Take in the beauty of the city. Or, you can always look out and savor the sight of New York city. Most of the time, you miss all those small, but awesome view just because you are caught with those negative thoughts which do not really matter. Look out and take a look at your surroundings. You might be surprised just how good looking New York city is when viewed from your spot.
